Lalong Mourns Northern CAN Secretary General Danladi Yerima

Plateau State Governor and Chairman of the Northern States Governor's Forum Simon Lalong has expressed deep shock over the demise of the Secretary General of the Christian Association of Nigeria, 19 Northern States and the FCT, Danladi Yerima.
Lalong in a condolence message signed by Makut Simon Macham,
Director, Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau State described the late Danladi Yerima as one who stood firm in pursuing the cause of Christianity and the gospel of salvation in Northern Nigeria and the nation as a whole.
The Governor noted that "Danladi Yerima lived a life of selflessness and complete devotion to the teachings of Jesus Christ as he contributed his quota to the propagation of the gospel to many as Secretary General of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Northern Nigeria. He was a man who stood for unity, peace, justice and tolerance in all his dealings".
Lalong therefore commiserated with the family of the deceased, the Christian Association of Nigeria and the entire Christian community in the region and country over the loss of one of its committed members who did a lot for the body of Christ.
He asked them to be consoled by the good legacies he left behind in the various fields of endeavour he occupied especially his professional career, Community Service, social activism as well as the Adara Development Association (ADA) where he was one time President.
