Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has signed four bills including the Water Sector Bill into law
The Water Sector law provides for public-private partnership in the development and management of water resources in the state
Deputy Director, Press and Public Affairs, Government House, Mr. Solomon Gujor in a statement in Jos on Wednesday gave the names of the other three bills passed into law by the governor as Plateau State Specialist Hospital Bill, Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency Bill and The Plateau State Energy Cooperation Bill.
He said that the four bills were passed recently by the state House of Assembly.
According to him, Governor Lalong while signing the bills into law at Government House Jos, said his administration was poised to take the opportunities that abound in the state to develop all the sectors of the economy in Plateau state.
The statement added, “These four bills that he has signed into law would go a long way to bridge the gap created by the absence of the enabling laws guiding the operations of the relevant agencies as they would also reduce the hardship faced by the citizens of the state as they go about attending to their daily needs".
