The Plateau State Secretaries Forum (PSSF) has refuted allegations made by the Plateau State chapter of the Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON) that Governor Simon Bako Lalong owes the immediate past caretaker chairmen six months salaries.
The forum debunked the allegation through its Organising Secretary, Shehu Usman, during a press conference in Jos yesterday.
“Lalong does not owe us any kobo. He is very sensitive to the plight of citizens of the state and our welfare was properly taken care of,” he said.
“It is rather unfortunate that some of the dissolved transition committee chairmen would spread this kind of rumours. The dissolved transition committee members should be grateful to Governor Lalong and the APC for considering them first for the appointment, and for allowing them in office for close to two years,” he said.
