Intending Muslim pilgrims from Plateau State are to pay the sum of N1,471,719.52 for the 2018 hajj exercise, about N57, 317.28 less than last year’s N1,529,036.80 fee.
The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board, Barrister Auwal Abdullahi, who stated this yesterday in Jos, said the basic traveling allowance remains a flat rate of $800.
Barrister Abdullahi said the sales of forms will close at the end of June, as directed by National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) and also in line with agreement with the Saudi Arabian Authority.
The Executive Secretary said Governor Simon Bako Lalong has ensured that a befitting accommodation awaits Plateau pilgrims close to the grand Mosque in Makkah, adding that, in line with the governor’s rescue policy, the board was taking steps to ensure improved welfare of the pilgrims.
