The Plateau State Government is yet to commence the COVID-19 vaccination of it’s citizens. Also, Governor Simon Bako Lalong and his cabinet members have not been vaccinated.
Speaking to The Nation on phone on Friday, the state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Nimkong Ndam Lar, said following the receipt of 105,600 doses of the Aztrazeneca coronavirus vaccine, the state government is yet to kick off vaccination.
Ndam attributed the delay to the documentation process embarked upon by the state government.
He said, “We have not started the vaccination; we are also analysing the documentation process and thereafter, we can start the vaccination”. Asked the challenges being experienced in the state, he said, “Since we have not started the vaccination; it will be premature to ascertain the challenges.
So, wait for the time we kick-start the vaccination. But l assured you that it will start very soon.
