The Director General of Plateau State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (PLASCHEMA), Dr. Fabong Jamchang, has assured that the agency is 90 percent ready to commence enrollment of beneficiaries in the State.
The agency said this, Tuesday while on a courtesy call to the office of the State House of Assembly, speaker Hon. Abok Ayuba.
Blueprint report that the agency came into being with the passage of a bill and signing into law by Governor Simon Lalong, in 2019.
Dr. Jamchang said: “The Plateau State Contributory Health Care Management Agency, is 90 percent ready to commence enrollment, we are at the House of Assembly to tell you that we already.”
The DG, said they are appreciative of the house continuous supports, right from budget defence and other activities that pertains their job.
He said in order for every resident of the state to have access to good healthcare services, the agency has developed four programmes to cover different segments of the society.
Dr. Jamchang, said they have the equity health plan, which will captured the vulnerable groups of under five children, pregnant women, the elderly above 60 years, the physically and mentally challenged, orphans, and internally displace persons.
He the other three plans, are formal health plan, the informal health plan and the private health plan.
The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Abok Ayuba, assured agency, of the house maximum support.
He said: “The issue of contributory health scheme is very important because it is for the future of the people of the state.”
The speaker charge the agency to take their job with all seriousness, assuring them of the House maximum support to succeed.
