Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has commiserated with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the death of its General Secretary, Dr. Musa Asake, saying he was a courageous leader whose life was worthy of emulation.
The governor spoke Sunday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Interdenominational service in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
He prayed that God will give the Christian community, the family, friends and well-wishers of the late General Secretary the grace to bear the pain of the great loss.
Lalong, who was accompanied by some members of the state executive council to the church service, said the government and people of Plateau State are also pained by the loss.
In his sermon, the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, prayed for far-reaching peace to reign in Plateau State and the nation in general.
