Three occupants of a CRV Honda jeep yesterday were injured when the car in which they were driving lost control along the bridge by Ring Road, off the British-America junction in the Plateau State capital Jos, and plunged into a deep canal there.

Daily Trust gathered that the car summersaulted several ‎ times but landed on its wheels and not upside down or sideways, thereby minimizing the effect on the occupants of the car.

Most of the passers-by who came to the scene of the accident marveled ‎at the escape of the occupants, while others lamented the lack of protective iron or guide by the sidewalk of the bridge.

Witnesses said the driver was a woman, while the other two occupants were a male and a female, and that they all came out of the car on their own and walked by themselves.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were few meters away from the scene of the accident rushed the three to the Plateau Specialist Hospital a couple of kilometers away.
